Presidential Diamond Walaa Hamido
A fresh start in Denmark, a single mother of three children, no professional experience in marketing - Walaa Hamido's prospects of an international business career seemed to be close to zero. But then she took off with Unicity and rose to become one of the most successful sales partners in Europe in just a few years. Today, Walaa leads a team that includes several top leaders from Unicity Europe. How did Walaa build her internationally flourishing business? We asked her.
“I was so exhausted from my life” - this is how Presidential Diamond Walaa Hamido looks back on the time before she joined Unicity. After fleeing Syria in 2014, she had to build a new life in Denmark, as a single mother with three children and under constant financial stress. When she found out about Unicity in September 2020, she signed up as a Franchise Partner within 24 hours, even though she had no prior marketing experience.
What followed is a fantastic success story, even for Unicity Europe. Walaa began promoting the entire Unicity product range before focusing mainly on the Feel Great program - and her business went through the roof. It wasn't an easy road: “I was often frustrated and confused, but my list of goals always motivated me. I want to be financially free and no longer have to worry about money. I see myself as an employee of my dreams who has to work for them every day.”
"Have fun and enjoy the journey!"
Walaa learnt many of the necessary business skills, but her tenacity and success mentality played a crucial role in her achievements: “My advice to any new partner is to spend the first six months learning the necessary business building skills and developing the right mindset, regardless of the business results. My second piece of advice is to work every day - as much as you would for any other job, as an investment in the future. Basically, it's about consistency, discipline, daily work and daily growth. And most importantly, have fun and enjoy the journey!”
Walaa is building her business offline and online, with a particular focus on the power of social media: “ Online work helped me the most to grow my business because I was able to connect with people from all continents. Social media in particular plays a crucial role because I can work from home every day and don't have to attend events and meetings in person - which is a blessing, especially for single parents. I hold regular Zoom meetings to drive the growth and development of my team. My focus is primarily on women over 30 as potential team partners and clients.
"You don't have to be famous to be successful."
It is not always easy to find the motivation for the daily hard work of building a business. Walaa's own story serves as a role model for her international team: “I tell my partners that I also started from scratch, with no experience and no prior social media presence. I want to make it clear to them that you don't have to be famous to be successful. I also emphasize that I work consistently every day.”
Hard work and commitment to learning are important factors in building a business - but for Walaa, mindset is crucial, especially when problems arise: “My recipe for success consists of a lot of positive energy, belief in myself, in Unicity and its products, and a willingness to see challenges as an opportunity to grow. I try to approach every problem with out-of-the-box thinking and ask myself: 'How would Walaa the Global Ambassador deal with this challenge? That's how I find the right solution.”
With her talent, hard work and a lot of discipline, Walaa has made her way into the Unicity leadership ranks - congratulations once again! We look forward to Walaa's future success.
